The ‘golden shadow’ represents the greatness within you that has been repressed over the duration of your life. A hidden light just within reach.

'GOLDEN SHADOWS: PART I’

An introduction to the golden shadow itself. I want to evoke the feeling of a new presence. A warm presence. The discovery and gentle introduction to one's own inner light and potential. It doesn't hit all at once like an epiphany. It takes numerous hellos. Sometimes this new presence makes you want to hide from it, but I have found that 'Golden Shadows' are the most patient shadows. 

 We all know light and shadow absorb the environment around them, the colors, the feeling. In painting these shadows, I have found that even in the darkest of places, they have softest edges. The warmest welcome. The kindest gesture.
