the Light series
inspired from Provencial light
In 2014, I was fortunate enough to study abroad in the South of France. Specifically, this little village in the Provencial region, named Lacoste. It did not take long for me to notice that the way light cascaded in France was much different than America.
It felt alive to me. Tangible to interact with. I knew this would be the inspiration for my painting series while living there for the ten weeks. The 2014-2015 paintings you will find in this gallery are all influenced from my time in Lacoste. You can read more about the paintings below.
