Created in Savannah, Ga during my SCAD alumni atelier ambassadorship + residency. In the midst of painting 13 realistic portraits, there was a time when my mind needed some more space to explore. I played and experimented with a photo reference of my friend, Taylor, luminous halos, and gold leaf moons to create 'Nature's First Green', a small profile to portray an inner light within us all; paired with the unfinished first line in Robert Frost's poem 'Nothing Gold Can Stay'
