The first painting of the series, this piece is directly inspired from a place I once called home that was taken very abruptly. I would wake up each day and see light cascading through the curtains and it gave me such a sense of peace and purpose. It became a beacon for me in the winter months. This is for anyone wanting to find the magic in the mundane, and to never take the place you're in for granted.

This painting was created the closest to the Solstice. It was at this time where I was flooded with a feeling of gratefulness. I wanted this feeling to really manifest into this work. This is for anyone that holds onto hope even in the darkest of times.

I had to move out of my home abruptly towards the end of 2025. It was a place flooded with light, memories, and so much character. But it had to end too soon. I found myself in a darker place, but still moved by the new light. This is a painting for anyone grieving in a season of difficulty and change. May it be a reminder to look closely at the beauty you can find there.
